Biography
Karl, an associate in the firm, is admitted to practice in Washington. Karl’s practice focuses primarily on construction defect litigation, real estate disputes, commercial landlord-tenant litigation, and general civil and commercial litigation.
Karl graduated law school with Cum Laude honors. While in law school, he competed on the moot court and trial advocacy teams in national competitions, garnering awards for oral advocacy and appellate brief writing. As a result of his competitive success, Karl was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Prior to joining Levy | von Beck | Comstock, Ryan gained valuable litigation experience at the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. During law school, Karl worked for the Washington State Attorney General’s Office in the Labor and Industries Division, where he litigated workers compensation and intentional misrepresentation cases.
Personal Interests
Karl was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and has always called Seattle home, even during his time living in Nashville and Malibu. Karl is a lifelong musician and plays the piano, upright bass, guitar, bass guitar, and the drums. In his free time, he enjoys travel, hiking, music, video games, and exploring all his home state has to offer.
