Biography
Claire, an associate in the firm, is admitted to practice in Washington. Claire’s practice focuses primarily on construction defect litigation, property insurance claims, real estate boundary disputes, and commercial property subrogation.
Claire’s interest in real estate, architecture, and construction developed at an early age and was instilled by her father, a self-employed foundation contractor. Prior to joining Levy | von Beck | Comstock, Claire pursued her interest in construction law as a law clerk at a boutique national law firm specializing in plaintiffs’-side litigation of catastrophic commercial property losses. During law school, Claire also represented clients in fair housing and other discrimination matters through Wayne State University’s Disability Law Clinic.
Personal Interests
Claire’s ties to the Puget Sound area run deep; in fact, her family has been in Seattle and the surrounding communities since the turn of the twentieth century. Claire herself was born and raised in the West Sound, and she and her husband now enjoy life there with their rescue dog, Eva. On rainy weekends, Claire loves making a fire and curling up with a classic novel and a pot of black coffee. Claire’s favorite pastimes, however, are those that take her outdoors: camping, boating, skiing, horseback riding, and hosting bonfires for family and friends.
