Biography
Dave von Beck, a shareholder in the firm, is licensed to practice law in Washington, including in both state and federal courts. Dave’s practice focuses on construction defect litigation (representing homeowners, condominium associations, and commercial building owners), insurance coverage disputes, mortgage fraud, consumer protection, and general business litigation. His clients range from individuals to national corporations.
Dave has helped his clients prevail in trials and arbitrations as well as obtaining very favorable results in multi-party settlement conferences and through direct negotiations. The law can be a blunt and powerful instrument, but Dave believes it can and should be wielded with finesse, diligence, and good business sense so that his clients consistently get the best results possible without undue stress or expense.
Personal Interests
Dave has lived in Seattle for more than 30 years, and he loves it – even though he commutes by bike year round and faces all kinds of weather. He and his wife Marcie, a Seattle public school teacher, have two adult daughters. In his free time, Dave enjoys songwriting (he is a member of the band Straw Dogs), performing live music, tennis, swimming, and just enjoying time and good food with family and friends.
